It made me nostalgic for a period of time that I barely remember (considering that I was only two years old in 1994, which is the year this movie takes place). The film is about a lonely teen named Luke who has just graduated from high school. In exchange for therapy from a psychiatrist he sells pot. His family begins to go through some financial problems and he begins selling even more.You may remember this guy as Josh from Drake and Josh, but he does such a great job in the movie that you completely forget how goofy he was in that show. His family is going through some financial problems so he begins selling even more. Through the movie, he goes through the regular coming of age deal that happens in a film, but the soundtrack and image of New York City circa 1990 makes the film more than your regular "teen growing up" movie. The Wackness made me want to live in New York during the 90s and it rekindled my love of hip hop.
